Cruising
is Still Popular for All Ages
by Joe Bella
When planning a vacation, more and
more people are booking a cruise instead of the normal vacations.
Cruise ships are becoming more popular daily. There are even people who
are choosing to go the cruise ship route when planning honeymoons!
There are a few reasons that this type of thing is becoming so popular.
Entertainment -
Cruise ships are known for their
entertainment. In the very same day, you can sit and watch dancing,
singing, and comic performances, visit amazing gambling areas, swim in
several different pools, soak in a hot tub, and lots of other wonderful
things. Just being able to experience these types of entertainment are
enough to make cruise ships popular. All of this activity ensures that
you will never get bored. There are also lounges if you decide you'd
just like to sit and have a drink. Being able to do all of these fun
things are one reason people are deciding to go this route. Imagine
jumping out of the pool, changing your clothes, and watching a really
great 'Vegas style' all within 30 minutes. Or, spending time in a
wonderful casino, trying your luck, and then hopping over to the hot
tub to soak and count your winnings!
The journeys -
Visiting the interesting places that
are offered when going on a cruise is amazing. Imagine strolling down
the street of a 3,000 year old city and stepping in the same places
that Cleopatra walked! How about moonlit nights in Venice, or sailing
through the Stockholm Archipelago that is made up of 24,000 islands!
There are so many interesting places to see and things to experience.
Being able to enjoy yourself on-board the ship, and also getting to see
the amazing sights is a definite reason that cruise ships are becoming
so popular.
Ups and Downs -
As with anything, there are some
advantages and disadvantages of going on a cruise ship. One of the big
disadvantages is that you could put yourself into the poorhouse by just
drinking a couple of cokes on-board! The meals and drinks are usually
included in the pricing, however snacks usually aren't. The prices are
quite high for these things as well. Another disadvantage is that you
just don't know the people you will be sailing with. You may find that
you are in really great company, but on the other hand, you could be
surrounded by a bunch of jerks! Weigh out the advantages and
disadvantages if you are considering a cruise. The average price of an
all inclusive cruise is around $2500.00 to $4000.00 for about a week.
